You've Captured My Heart Note Card

Good morning everyone.  Yesterday started out as a beautiful day and then the rains came.  Sao Paulo city got clobbered with major flooding and here is just rained for hours. But...I got to finally see the new episode of The Walking Dead (my favorite show) and then watched a bit of the Grammy Awards.

And this morning I found out that Bandido was not a good boy last night.  He decided that he wanted to eat a pair of Papa Michael's favorite socks that were hanging to dry.  Now he is in the doghouse.  LOL

Today I have another 4" note card.  It was made with Valentine's Day in mind but it can be used for any day that you just want to let someone know that they "captured your heart".  {insert smiley face here}.

Oh...the set I used called Captured My Heart is on sale at Unity Stamp right now for $1.89 - normally $7.49.  I don't make anything if you buy it but it is an amazing price and will not last long.

I started with a top folding card base of white cardstock - 4" x 8", scored at 4".  Adhered a piece of red cardstock - 3 7/8" x 3 7/8" to the card front and then adhered another piece of white cardstock - 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" to the red cardstock.

Next, using the 3rd largest scalloped heart die (see supply list, below), I die cut a piece of red cardstock and a piece of red fun foam. Adhered the red cardstock to the fun foam and then adhered this to the card front (note, I trimmed the scalloped edges from the fun foam before adhering to the heart).

Then I stamped the image of the camera from the Captured My Heart set, colored it in with some Tombow markers, adhered it with pop dots to the heart, and the added some Glossy Accents over the lens area.  Finally I stamped the phrase in black ink and added a few red and pink sequins to the card front.

Done!!   Hope you liked this simple and cute card.  Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win all the cards I am making in February!!  Until next time -

Hugs from Brasil!
Michael
