Scrapping Stamping - Believe In The Magic of Christmas

Today's card is a pretty simple card to make.  I've done two versions.  One is the tutorial and the other is at the end of the post.

Supplies Used:

Card Creator Fancy Swirls Positive
Spellbinders Card Creator Dies - A2 MATTING BASICS A
Spellbinders Card Creator Dies - A2 MATTING BASICS B
Grand Calibur Machine by Spellbinders
The phrase "Believe in the magic of Christmas" from the Joyeux Noel Stamp Set by Cornish Heritage Farms
White card stock - 7 1/4" x 7"
Red card stock - 7" x 3 1/4"
Black card stock pieces
A piece from "The Holly and the Ivy" from Graphic 45's Christmas Past Collection - 7 1/4" x 3 1/2"
Zing Embossing Powder - Glitter Gold
Black Sparkle embossing powder by Ranger
Clear Embossing Ink Pad
Ranger Heat Gun
Red ribbon
Double Sided Tape or glue of your choice

Step by Step:

1.  Cut a piece of white card stock 7 1/4" W by 7" H.  Fold in half.  This will be your card base.  Cut a piece from The Holly and the Ivy scrapbook paper by Graphic 45.  You want a piece 7 1/4" x 3 1/2".  Cut a piece of red card stock 7" x 3 1/4".

2.  Adhere the scrapbook sheet paper to the card front.

3.  Stamp the Fancy Swirls Positive image with clear embossing ink pad  on white cardstock.  Cover with the Glitter Gold embossing powder, remove excess, and heat emboss.

4.  Using the 2nd smallest die from the Card Creator Set A, you will need to cut and emboss 5 pieces of black cardstock (1 piece will be used later).  Using the 2nd smallest die from the Card Creator Set B, you will need to cut and emboss 4 pieces from the background image you just embossed and 1 piece of white cardstock (to be used later).

Because I am using the Grand Calibur Machine, I am able to cut a piece from each of the papers at the same time.  If you are using another machine, you will have to cut the pieces separately.

1 piece of black cardstock and 1 piece of white for use later.
5.  Adhere the 4 pieces from the background to 4 pieces of the black cardstock.

6.  Adhere the above pieces to the red cardstock.

7.  Wrap a piece of red ribbon around the red cardstock and make a bow.  The adhere this whole piece to the card front.

8.  Using clear embossing ink and the black embossing powder, stamp and heat set the phrase.  (Note:  I believe this set is no longer available.  You can just print out a phrase from the computer and cut and emboss using the die)>  Then adhere the white piece to the black piece you cut earlier.

9.  Adhere the above piece to the 2nd piece on the card front so it sits on the ribbon.

10.  Sign the back of the card and send it to someone that deserves it!!  You're done!!

-------------------Another way of doing the card-----------------

Another option is to use Stampendous Aged Enamel in Gold.  I have to admit that I love this more than the glitter gold embossing powder - only because, the glitter gets everywhere.

For this option, I embossed the background image with the Stampendous Enamel.  And for the phrase, I stamped the image as above, and, using a Versamark pen, I embossed the edges and heat embossed more of the Enamel.
